Healthy Tomorrows

Healthy Tomorrows is a program for girls at New Britain High School that promotes leadership and fitness through activities in the school and community.  Healthy Tomorrows is supported in part by a five-year grant from the federal Maternal Child Health Bureau and the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Healthy Tomorrows has partnered with YWCA New Britain in making gym memberships available to interested New Britain High School girls at no charge to them, allowing the girls access to exercise equipment and professional fitness advice and assistance.

Healthy Tomorrows Presents: Fit For Life (P.E. Credit Recovery Program)

New Britain High School girls wishing to recover P.E. credits can contact the team below about joining Healthy Tomorrows' new Fit For Life P.E. Credit Recovery Program. Fit for Life combines fitness activities and coaching from the YWCA, nutritional workshops from a registered dietician and leadership skills development.  Girls can receive PE credit by choosing from a range of healthy options including workouts at the YWCA, healthy eating workshops, special events and activities organized by AmeriCorps members and students from Wesleyan University. Girls are also encouraged to organize their own projects to make New Britain a healthier city for teens and their families.
